Biography

The Specials were an English 2 Tone band formed in 1977 in Coventry. They started out playing ska and punk rock songs, later fusing the styles together, creating a new sound that became known as 2 Tone. They were best known for singles such as A Message To You Rudy, Ghost Town, Too Much Too Young and their debut, Gangsters. The original band members were Jerry Dammers, Terry Hall, Roddy Radiation, John Bradbury, Sir Horace Gentleman, Lynval Golding and Neville Staples.
